Dear Colleagues and Friends,
As we are completing the year of 2017 and entering the year of 2018, I want to express my appreciation for your friendship and also support for the Asian-Pacific Association of Echocardiography. Starting a new organization is a challenging task and we are making a gradual progress towards our goal thanks to your engagement in and enthusiasm for AAE’s mission.
In 2017, the AAE has held a joint symposium with the Asian-Pacific Society of Cardiology in Singapore, with Indian Academy of Echocardiography in Jaipur, India, with Korean Society of Echocardiography in Seoul, Korea, with Hong Kong 3-D workshop in Hong Kong, and with EACVI in Lisbon, Portugal. We thank each Society for including the AAE for your annual scientific or educational meeting.
AAE is embarking on a new journey in 2018 with an independent scientific meeting with basic educational as well as the state-of –the arts lectures and discussion by our colleagues and friends from most of Asian-Pacific countries and other international Societies. We hope that all of you are able to attend the meeting. At the time of the meeting, we hope to establish more committees and infra-structures for future growth of the Association. We are working on for a better website, a potential Journal for publishing investigative works from the Asian-Pacific Societies, and recruiting more individual AAE members. If you have not registered as a regular AAE member, please visit www.aaecho.org to register free of charge and also encourage other members of your Society to join. Please also visit www.aaecongress.org for submitting an abstract to the Jeju meeting. AAE does have a travel grant to a number of successful abstract presenters. We also need you feedback regarding how we can improve our website.
